A night on this beach under this night sky was the reason we endured eight hours of hell in the jungle.

Kianna, on our post-White Christmas trip. Trips to white sand beaches were the only kinds of White Christmases that we ever knew.

The father’s side of my family loves to party; and when we do, we all come home exhausted. There’s more ballroom dancing than singing. But then again, I think I notice more dancing because I always trip over myself whenever my aunts pull me to the dance floor.

It was Tita Teng’s 50th birthday celebration and the Angan sisters: Baby, Jobel, and of course, Teng, just had to take the stage.

My brother, Jerry, after pulling off a Prefontaine finish in the Boys 3000 Meter Run of the 75th UAAP Track and Field Competition.

He actually ran a bad race, sticking with the top runner of his division for the first 500 meters knowing that this opponent was too strong for him, and then eventually falling behind. When I asked him afterwards why he did it, he answered,

Wala lang. Pride.

Luckily, he was still able to finish 6th out of about 20 runners.
